    A special thanks to our members that participated in the IAM 56th annual meeting.  Your participation contributed to making the annual meeting a success.  During the course of the week I had the pleasure of meeting with current and long-standing members from all over the world.  Throughout our conversations a pattern of questions arose, and I wanted to share this information with the rest of the membership.

    How can I get involved with IAM Here 2 Help?

    IAM Here 2 Help (H2H) was established with the overarching goal of connecting organizations together to coordinate relief efforts when responding to humanitarian crises or natural disasters.  With members in over 170 countries, our membership presence and vast number of moving capabilities facilitates our industry to do the following to get involved:

    • Donate money or in-kind services.
    • Join the ILN to showcase your company's logistical capabilities in the event of a disaster.
      (Validation is free for Governing and ILN members)
    • Let H2H know if you want to raise money for Here 2 Help like IAM Member, Walt Peniuk. Walt is collecting funds for relief efforts at his Crowdrise
    • Let H2H know which aid organizations are operating in your company's region.


    The Portal magazine is sent to the attention of one person in my office, how do I receive additional copies?

    To meet this need, IAM provides the online version of The Portal magazine along with archived copies.  Additionally, in every issue of The Portal, we invite our members to share their experiences, success stories, learning experiences, and vision with others in the moving and forwarding industry. IAM features articles for each issue which are united by a central theme. Our editorial calendar provides a glance at future issues, and the Submit Your Story page details regular columns to which you may submit articles and news, as well as our submission guidelines and instructions.

    What is the minimum requirement to validate my listing in the Mobility Exchange directory?

    The minimum requirement to validate your listing is to be an IAM member as well as provide documentation of years in service.  A document must be provided for the Established Year. This is the year in which the business was first established and sets the calculation to display your years in service.

    Where can I learn more about the courses available through IAM Learning?

    The Mobility Exchange directory offers a link to the education platform.  The Move Coordinator Training Program is currently available and IAM encourages our members to sample the training content, as well as review a list of training programs that will be available in the future.  If you believe IAM should develop a course on a particular subject matter, please provide your comments to learning@iamovers.org.
