    I am interested to explore and share people's opinions within the IAM Community about which agents you offer a credit facility to and just how much of a credit is extended? I would also be interested to know how often your accounts reconcile with agents to make sure that timely payments are being made to help cashflows and at what point do you need to get involved to escalate the conversation to ensure that prompt payments are made. Finally, do any of you offer demand pre-payment to all new agents with whom you work, even if they are known to you?

    Appreciate the feedback and look forward to hearing your thoughts.

    Should IAM credit facility 30days after delivery . I never see any IAM have credit facility .

    Hi Ben,

    In my opinion if you have not worked with an agent, you should request pre-payment even if you know them. This will enable to understand how well and soon they pay until that trust is built. Unfortunately the times are tough these days and we all see many moving companies who do overtrade and do not keep a tab on their collections which leads to further problems. 

    So to answer the question short and sweet, its better to request payment until a credit reference and trust factor is established. Hope my feedback makes sense :))

    We provide 30 days credit to all the members of ARA, most of the members of IAM and to all other partners who have been regularly working with us..
     
    If for a company with whom we have not worked before or credit terms are not established with them, then only we ask for pre-payment..
