The November/December issue of The Portal is on the way to your mailbox. We think you'll enjoy reliving the experience of the IAM 56th Annual Meeting at National Harbor in October through photos and a lively review by Will Kohudic, the Association's manager of marketing and communications. Also in this issue: An exit interview with outgoing IAM President Terry Head, who shares some of the highlights of his career both before and during his tenure at IAM.

If you don't want to wait for your hard copy, the digital version of the magazine will soon be posted on the IAM website.

Looking ahead to the near future, the theme for our January/February issue is Sensitive Shipments: Moving Museums, Exhibits, Libraries and Musical Instruments. If your company handles moves like these, this is your opportunity to tell your story and get a bit of exposure for you and your company.
We're looking for a brief history of your company and the niche specialties you've established, and especially would like to hear about your most memorable move(s), and how you addressed the challenges of packing and delivering the goods safely.
The deadline for submissions for the January/February issue is December 21 - so please respond soon, before you turn your attention to preparations for the holidays. Submit articles and inquiries to joycedexter47@gmail.com and william.kohudic@iamovers.org, and see our 2019 Editorial Calendar for topics we'll cover throughout the year.

Meanwhile, here's wishing you a great weekend ahead!
